Product works as described. I guess if you don't mind that then this is a good product. However, what the buyer is not told is that you are required to have a huge antenna and run upwards of 20 feet of tv cable to get this thing to work. The antenna and the base unit cannot be close together therefore to get this product working must run cable through your house. If you want cable running through your house then stay away. Amazon really needs to inform its customers of this fact.
YOUR PRODUCT WORKS GREAT, I HAVE OPNE AT HOME AND AT TWO OF MY OFFICES.RP
I had no service or 1 bar in my home. If it has to much signal it will shut down so it does not damage the equipment. I installed this item and now have service all over the house. My suggestion to you is read the directions. 2 or 3 bars on your cell phone is plenty for the equipment to give you full service in the house. It is a great buy and only took me about 2 hourt to install.
i know everyones situation and location are different and nothing you can do may help. live in a small country town with a cell phone tower to the east and west, but neither are accesible b/c of 2 huge hills to the east and west of my house b/tween me and the towers. so i ordered the zboost cell phone signal booster, couldn't b/l how easy it was to set this thing up.put the antenna on the peak of the roof, drilled a hole and run the wire into the house, plugged it into the base and the base into the wall outlet and that was it.went from no service to 2 to 4 bars of signal.can talk anywhere in the house.got rid of my land line phone, and only use my cell phones now. told him to mount it to the eave of his house @ the highest point, thats what he did and it works great.if ya wanna take the time and energy to mount the antenna where it should be mounted it probably will work great for you. i got the 800 MHz it's what works with my phones through u.s. saving me $50.00 a month.
but i think this rigging will help alot of people achieve signal.this recommendation was based solely on mine and my friends experience with the product. could not get any signal to make or recieve calls inside my home, and only once in a while could send a text message, only if by a window. other than moving. one of my buddies that live down the road a couple miles from me had the same problem, he ordered one and tried it with the antenna inside the house. didn't work so great. good luck to all that purchase.troyp.s.
cellular.
I got this device because I have little to no service at the beach home. The problem is that BOTH ends are finished with the crimped attachment hardware.try getting THAT through the existing cable hole to the outside. However, once the installation is done. If it is recommeded that you put it outdoors, don't you think that they would include it or tell you at time of purchase that this kit is needed. I can get 3-4 bars when I used to only get 1-2 bars at best. The other problem is again associated with outdoor installation. The problem I have with this device is that they say outside installation is best but DON'T tell you at the time of purchase that you should purchase an OPTIONAL outdoor kit. So, another trip to the hardware store 17 miles one way to get a crimping tool and masonry bits and screws to PROPERLY attach the mounting hardware for the signal atenna on the OUTSIDE brick.
They give you ab. 30 feet of coaxial cable which is great. several hours, miles and dollars later. I guess that beats having to stand at the end of the driveway in a thunderstorm to make calls to the office.
